1° DAY KEFLAVIK
Transfer from the airport to Keflavik. Accommodation
in hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
2° DAY KEFLAVIK
/ REYKJAVIK
After breakfast departure for a guided visit
of the Blue Lagoon, bathing in thermal waters.
Lunch in a local restaurant in Reykjavik.
In the afternoon guided visit of Iceland’s
capital and the surrounding area: the President’s
residence of Bessastadir, Hofdi House, where
the meeting took place between Reagan and
Gorbachew, the city of Harnarfjordur, the
fish market, Hallgrims Church, the historical
centre and much more. Accommodation in hotel
in Reykjavik; dinner and overnight stay.
3° DAY REYKJAVIK
/ FLUDIR
After breakfast leave for the village of
Hveragerdi admiring how vegetables are cultivated
in thermal water. Continuation across the
little agricultural town of Selfoss, and
then on to the mountains, with fields covered
by lava, linear deserts and craters. Arrival
at the mountain “pearl”, Landmannalaugar,
a valley in the middle of steep mountains,
from where you can admire a magnificent
spectacle of colours. After lunch (packed
lunch), relax in hot thermal water, and
then leave for the Viking Farm in Stong,
which has been excavated from lava ashes,
and for the impressive waterfall Hjalafoss,
before terminating at the hotel for dinner
and overnight stay.
4° DAY FLUDIR
/ REYKHOLT
Breakfast in hotel. In the morning visit
the Golden Waterfalls, Gullfoss, and the
erupting hot springs at Geysir. Lunch in
a local restaurant. In early afternoon visit
the National Park of Thingvellir, a highly
interesting geological region where you
can clearly see how the continental plates
met, and the site of the Altihing, where
the Vikings held their ancient parliament.
In the late afternoon continuation along
the mountain road; looking to the east you
can see the impressive glacier of Langjokull
and the waterfall of Hraunfossar where hundreds
of streams seem to appear right out of the
lava.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
5° DAY REYKHOLT
/ STYKKISHOLMUR
After breakfast leave for a visit of the
Saga Centre Skalholdt, then continuation
towards north to scenic Hvarmms Fjors with
hundreds of Islands. Visit Stykkisholmur,
a little fisherman’s town. After lunch
in a local restaurant a cruise takes place
between islands with unique basalt formations
and hundreds of seabirds. Before returning
to the harbour the sailors will throw out
nets and serve the freshly caught fish.
Accommodation in hotel in Stykkisholmur,
dinner and overnight stay.
6° DAY STYKKISHOLMUR
/ REYKJAVIK
Breakfast at the hotel. Highlights of this
day are Snaefallsnas Peninsula and Glacier,
surrounding which inspired Jules Verne to
write “The journey to the centre of
Earth”, and an area with myths being
background of “Lord of the Rings”.
Visit Arnarstorpir where lunch is served
in a cosy turf house restaurant. After lunch
leave for an excursion along the coast and
visit the glacier, where an optional ride
by snow scooter is possible. In the late
afternoon return to Reykjavik for dinner
and overnight stay in hotel.

DAY REYKJAVIK
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer by private
coach to Keflavik Airport
