1° DAY BASTIA
/ SAINT FLORENT
Arrival in Bastia, the region’s main
town and the island’s most important
port and industrial centre. Short visit
of the city. You’ll see: le Vieux
Port, the most characteristic point of the
city, surrounded by tall old houses, among
which emerges St. Jean Baptiste Church,
in baroque style. Departure for Saint Florent.
Accommodation in hotel, dinner and overnight
stay.
2° DAY SAINT
FLORENT / PORTO
After breakfast, departure for the Desert
des Agriates, itinerary that takes you to
Ile Rousse, on the South West coast. Visit
of the old village of Balagne, Monticello
Pigna, San Antonino, Lunghignano, Calenzana
and Calvi. Lunch free. Leave for Galeria
and arrival in Porto; accommodation in hotel,
dinner and overnight stay.
3° DAY PORTO
/ CORTE / BASTIA
After breakfast, leave for the Gorges de
la Spelunca, Evisa, the Antoine Forest and
Valdo Nielo. Lunch free. Arrival in Corte,
Corsica’s old historical and cultural
capital. Panoramic tour, then departure
for Bastia. Accommodation in hotel, dinner
and overnight stay.

1° DAY NICE
In the afternoon arrival in Nice, considered
the only metropolis on the French coast.
Visit the historical centre and its picturesque
quarter with flower and vegetable markets
and open-air cafes. Walk on “Promenade
des Anglais”, famous avenue on the
sea-front, with luxurious hotels and villas.
Accommodation in hotel, dinner and overnight.
2° DAY NICE
/ REGIONAL PARK OF VERDON / NICE
After breakfast leave for an excursion to
Verdon’s Gorges, a spectacular naturalistic
area. Situated between Castellane and the
Sainte-Croix Lake, it’s called the
“Verdon’s Grand Canyon”,
the biggest in Europe and only the second
in the world, after the American Grand Canyon.
The tour starts in Castellane, dominated
by an enormous cliff. It continues up to
the “Point Sublime”, and ends
in Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, a little touristic
village situated in a wonderful position
and well-known for its ceramic shops. Lunch
free. In the afternoon optional boat-trip
on Lake Sainte-Croix. Return to Nice passing
along “Cornice Sublime”, one
of the most beautiful and panoramic roads
in France, built in a stone desert along
the side of the Canyon. Dinner and overnight
in the hotel.
3° DAY NICE
/ ARLES
Breakfast in the hotel. Departure for Grasse,
famous in the entire world for its perfumes,
with the possibility to visit a perfume
factory. Continuation for a brief visit
of the picturesque village of Gourdon, well-known
for its castle within which is a collection
of naïf pictures and Italian gardens.
Free lunch. In the afternoon departure for
the Camargue, a wild area made up of pasture
lands and lagoons. It is the habitat for
herds of bulls and white horses running
wild looked after by herdsmen in their folkloristic
dress.
Arrival in the evening at Arles; accommodation
in hotel, dinner and overnight.
4° DAY ARLES
/ REGIONAL PARK OF THE CAMARGUE / ARLES
After breakfast full day dedicated to a
visit of the Park of the Camargue. This
has been a regional park since 1970 and
is in the list of reserves recognised by
UNESCO.
In this area there are about 330 species
of birds, among which are pink flamingo
and herons, which can be observed from the
Ornithological Park of Pont-de-Gau. You’ll
see the town of Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer,
situated on the delta of the river Rhone.
At the foot of the Regional Park of the
Camargue, it isfamous for the gypsies’
pilgrimages dedicated to the black servant
Sarah.
Free lunch in a “Menade”, typical
French farm.
Possibility of a boat-trip on the Rhone
delta, leaving from Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer.
Return in the evening to Arles; dinner and
overnight in hotel.
5° DAY ARLES
/ REGIONAL PARK OF THE LUBERON / ARLES
After breakfast excursion at the Luberon,
impressive calcareous chain, with gorges
and deep valleys. You’ll leave from
the Roman town of Apt, well-known centre
for pilgrims who go to see the reliquaries
of Saint Anna. Continue for “Colorado
de Rustel” which, with its reddish
colouring, brings to mind the scenery of
American canyons.
Free lunch. In the afternoon the visit of
the park ends with a pause in Rouissillon,
famous because it was here that a businessman
discovered the colouring characteristics
of ochre and where the first factory was
built for its production. In the area of
the quarries is the “Des Ocres”
path from which you can admire all the varying
tonalities of ochre.
Return to Arles, dinner and overnight.
6°
DAY ARLES
After breakfast departure for re-entry.

1° DAY STRASBOURG
Arrival in Mulhouse in Alsace, the smallest
region in France but rich in traditions
and culture. Short visit of this town, called
“museum town” for the great
number of museums in the area; among the
most important to visit is the National
Automobile Museum and that of Printed Fabrics.
Continue for Strasbourg, arrive in the evening.
Dinner in a typical restaurant in the Petite
France quarter. Accommodation in hotel for
overnight.
2° DAY STRASBOURG
After breakfast in the hotel meet the guide
for a visit of the city, seat of the European
Council and the European Parliament. You
can visit Cathedral Square, part of the
old Strasbourg, dominated by the Cathedral
of Notre Dame, a jewel of Gothic architecture.
Inside is a spectacular glass window and
astronomic clock which, every day at 12:30,
puts into motion the procession of the Apostles.
Continue for Place du Chateau and the Castle
of Rohan. Free lunch. In the afternoon continue
the city visit walking along the characteristic
roads of Petite France, old quarter of fishermen,
leather tanners and millers which has maintained
its antique look. Dinner in a restaurant.
After dinner we recommend a boat-trip on
the river Ill. Return to the hotel for overnight.
3° DAY STRASBOURG
/ WINE ROUTE / COLMAR
After breakfast in the hotel meet the guide
and leave for Colmar, passing along the
famous “Wine Route”, a 170 km
road which goes from Marlenhein to Thann
and winds between orderly rows of vines
which reach the peaks of the Vosges.
Along the way you can admire the ruins of
medieval castles, villages surrounded by
fortified walls, little roads edged with
flowers, winstub, baroque signposts, wine
sellers… A really unique spectacle!
Stop for lunch at Riquewihe, a small village
where you can visit a wine merchant and
taste wine and local products. In the afternoon
arrive in Colmar and visit this beautiful
town. Walk through the most characteristic
quarters, such as Petite Venise with little
roads edged by the tall typical houses and
picturesque views of the river, la Grand
Rue, with the gothic church of St. Mathieu,
and Rue des Marchandes with the Pfister
house, characteristic Alsace building of
1537. Accommodation in hotel, dinner and
overnight.

DAY COLMAR
After breakfast leave the hotel for re-entry.
