1° DAY Arrival at the hotel on the Adriatic coast, or in the Urbino area.
Dinner and overnight stay.

2° DAY After breakfast, departure for a guided visit of Urbino and of its famous Ducal Palace. Free lunch.
In the afternoon, guided visit of the Castle of Gradara, dating back to the 12th century.
In the evening return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

3° DAY Breakfast at the hotel, then departure for Umbria, stopping at the
mediaeval town of Gubbio. Free lunch.
In the afternoon, guided visit of Assisi and of its famous San Francesco basilica.
Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel in the Assisi area.

4° DAY Breakfast in hotel. In the morning, guided visit of Perugia, the most important city of Umbria, with many Etruscan and Roman monuments and mediaeval churches.
Free lunch. In the afternoon guided visit of Orvieto, world famous for its Italian Gothic Cathedral.
Then, return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

5° DAY After breakfast in hotel, departure for re-entry.

Further suggestions: Spoleto, Todi, Spello: wonderful cities with Roman and mediaeval monuments. Lake Trasimeno: the biggest lake in central Italy (we suggest boat trips). In the steps of St. Francis: see the places St. Francis visited.
