IN TERME SANT’ORSOLA |
1° DAY
Arrival in Terme Sant’Orsola, accommodation
in hotel and dinner.
2° DAY
After breakfast departure for Trento and
visit of the city. The main city attractions
are: “Buonconsiglio Castle”,
Piazza Duomo, the Romanesque Cathedral,
Casa Cazuffi and Pretorio Palace, with the
Diocesan Museum. Lunch free. Transfer to
Mocheni Valley, with a very interesting
natural ambience: the valley conserves its
original language and customs. Return to
the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
3° DAY
After breakfast, departure for the Valsugana
area to visit its lakes: Lake Caldonazzo,
the biggest lake of the region, and the
only one where you can water ski, and Lake
Levico, very popular for its thermal springs.
Lunch free in Levico Terme. In the afternoon,
waòk into town, which conserves its
original nineteenth- century design: gardens,
flowery boulevards, and stylish buildings.
On the way to the hotel, stop at Pergine
Valsugana, to admire the Gothic Palace,
that dates from the XV century (visits allowed
from the 15th May to September). Return
to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
4° DAY
After breakfast, transfer to Besenello,
to visit Beseno Castle (open from April
to October), very evocative and enchanting.
Lunch free. Continuation to Rovereto, pretty
little town where Mozart, when very young,
performed at his first public concert. The
main attractions are: the Castle, which
dates from the XIV century, where you can
visit the Historical War Museum, and the
monumental war memorial bell. Return to
the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY Departure after breakfast.

AND THE ALTO ADIGE CASTLES
TOUR 3 NIGHTS / 4 DAYS WITH OVERNIGHT
STAY IN LAIVES |
1° DAY
Arrival in Laives (9 km south of Bolzano):
accommodation in hotel and lunch. In the
afternoon guided visit of Roncolo Castle,
where the Vanga family built the first walls
in 1237. It’s called the “Illustrated
Manor” because of the frescos still
preserved; very interesting the “Tristano
and Isotta” poem representation and
the games and tourney scenes.
Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight
stay.
2° DAY
After breakfast, visit some of the most
famous castles in the area, starting with
Forte Castle; then visit of the Velturno
castle, where you can admire a lovely panoramic
scene of the valley. Leave for Bressanone,
lunch in a restaurant and visit of the town.
You’ll see: the baroque Cathedral,
the Romanic-Gothic Cloister, the Diocesan
Museum, with one of the richest ecclesiastical
art collection and the Novacella Abbey,
inside which there’s one of the most
beautiful baroque churches of the region.
Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight
stay.
3° DAY
After breakfast departure for Tirolo, delightful
village with Tirolo Castle: built in XII
century, it became the symbol of this land.
The city of Bolzano, which is now the owner
of the castle, directed a thorough restoration
and transformed it into a museum. Nearby
is the Scena Castle, which characterises
one of the most popular places of the area.
Lunch in a restaurant in Merano. In the
afternoon visit of the town, elegant resort,
called “The Alto Adige pearl”.
Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight
stay.
4°
DAY After breakfast leave for Bolzano,
modern city situated in the Adige and Isarco
Valley. You’ll see: the Gothic Cathedral,
the Dominican Church, half-destroyed by
the bombs, and then re-built, the Benedictine
monastery, with the S. Agostino Church,
the archaeological museum, where Otzi’s
mummy, “the Iceman”, is preserved.
Return to the hotel for lunch. In the afternoon
departure for re-entry.
