TOUR OF THE LEVANTE RIVIERA
TOUR 2 NIGHTS / 3 DAYS WITH OVERNIGHT
STAY IN CAVI DI LAVAGNA |
1° DAY
In early afternoon arrival in Sestri Levante:
meeting with the tour guide and start the
nature walk. The walk should last about
1 h. and 40 min. and doesn’t present
particular difficulty (just a short tract,
in-between S.Anna and Cavi needs attention
because it’s steep). The walk starts
near the camping: you’ll follow the
road called “Of the Roman Bridges”,
and have a gentle climb to the pine-wood,
which is growing again after a terrible
fire that caused great damage. After 15
minutes you arrive at S. Anna’s chapel
ruins. The scenery is wonderful: on the
right Sestri Levante’s peninsula,
on the left Portofino…and below, the
reef. Going on walking you arrive at Cavi:
following the scenic road for Lavagna you’ll
arrive in S. Giulia: here the old church
and the parvis are the best places to admire
the scenery. Then you descend towards Lavagna,
passing by S. Benedetto and a nice pine-wood.
The descent isn’t difficult, and it’s
verypleasant, because of the olive groves.
The walk ends in Lavagna. Transfer to the
hotel, accommodation, dinner and overnight
stay.
2° DAY
Breakfast in hotel. Leave for a guided nature
tour of the “Cinque Terre”.
You’ll start from Monterosso: the
steep ascent offers views of the cliff and
the back drop of Monterosso’s retrospective,
which is exemplified in the maritime village’s
charm. The path soon becomes steep and narrow:
you cross the Rio Acquapendente on a little
stone bridge, very charming, and you’ll
arrive in the vineyard area, where you’ll
see Vernazza. Then you’ll have to
climb a narrow and difficult stairway, but
the scenery will reward you. Then arrive
in Corniglia. Packed lunch. Continuation
of the walk towards Manarola and Riomaggiore,
the first an old maritime village, the second
very famous because of the “Love Road”:
excavated in stone, it’s a continuous
up and down, but pleasant because of the
panoramic scene that you can admire.
When you arrive in Manarola you get the
boat to La Spezia and go back to the hotel
by bus. Dinner and overnight stay.
3°
DAY Breakfast in hotel. Departure
for Santa Margherita Ligure, where you’ll
embark for board towards San Fruttuoso.
Meeting with the guide and start the nature
walk: it’s a path inside the Portofino
Park, where you can admire lovely panoramic
scenes of the sea.
After lunch (packed) departure for re-entry.

1° DAY Arrival at the
hotel in Liguria, near Cavi di Lavagna.
Accommodation in the hotel, dinner and overnight
stay.
2° DAY
Breakfast at the hotel. Then departure for
Portovenere to visit the famous Cinque Terre.
The excursion starts on the ferry to Portovenere,
stopping at Riomaggiore, Manarola, Vernazza
and Monterosso.
In late afternoon return to hotel by bus.
Dinner and overnight stay.
3° DAY
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure by bus
for a full-day excursion to Genoa: guided
visit of the port, San Lorenzo Cathedral,
Galleria Nazionale,
Palazzo Bianco and Palazzo Rosso; optional
visit of the famous Aquarium, the largest
in Europe (the visit takes about 2 hours).
Dinner and overnight stay.
4°
DAY After breakfast at the hotel,
departure for Santa Maria Ligure, where
ferries leave for half-day trips to Portofino,
one of the most attractive spots in Liguria.
After the visit, departure for re-entry.
